In Sri Lanka you can learn to drive a light vehicle (car) from age 18. For motorcycles, the minimum age is 17. Documents and a learner's permit from the Department of Motor Traffic are required before practical sessions.
Most learners complete the practical training in 3–6 weeks depending on session frequency and prior experience. Trial test preparation adds another 1–2 weeks.
We offer both. Manual is recommended if you may drive a wider range of vehicles in future. Automatic is easier for beginners and increasingly common in modern cars. Our instructors will guide you based on your goals.
A valid NIC (National Identity Card), passport-sized photographs, and basic medical clearance. We will help you with the learner's permit application from the Department of Motor Traffic.
